Tribeca Talks Director Series With Christopher Nolan Recap
/When I got the email that Christopher Nolan will be holding a panel at Tribeca. I knew that I had to attend this event. I put whatever I had plan for the day and made sure I purchased my ticket. I must say it was an experience that I will never forget. For those who are not aware Tribeca Talks Director Series is when one director interviews another director. Christopher Nolan was interviewed by Bennett Miller. This one hour long interview was amazing and as well as entertaining. Christopher Nolan touched on everything on what inspired him to do movies, to his first major released to Memento. Nolan took us back through memory lane where he talk about his film The Folllowing which only cost 3,000 dollars to make. He explains the process of how he and brother Jonathan works by creating diagrams and charts. He doesn't follow the traditional way of storyboards.
Of course films like The Dark Knight trilogy and Inception were a hot topic of discussion from fans who had the lucky chance to ask questions. I think one of my favorite moments is when a audience member asked if Leo was still in limbo in the movie Inception. Nolan laughed and smirked but wouldn't give it away. I guess some mysteries will never be solved.
Anyone who desires to be any type of filmmaker that attends Tribeca should really look into the Tribeca Talks series. It's one of the most insight full, engaging and inspiring panels any film hopeful can experience.
