Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vol #38 (Comic Review)

Old Hob has perfected the art of making mutants! With the ranks of his mutant gang swelling, the Turtles will have to determine if they can truly trust Hob against the Foot. Throw in Alopex’s return to New York and the mutant mayhem will only get crazier!

Issue #38 TMNT continues it's amazing storyline on the turtles. This issue doesn't have much on action, but what it does have is a great story. As stated above that feline Hob, has found a way to make more mutants that will help aid Splinter in his fight against the Shredder. When Hob asked for a meeting with Splinter things don't sit well with Donny who feels the turtles should focus on Krang. This leaves to a huge debate on what the turtles should do. I won't go into anymore detail for the sake of spoilers. I will say that Donny is PISSED OFF!!! All Donny frustration with the direction the turtles are going comes out. He feels that action should be taken, instead of waiting and planning which is ironic since Donny is usually the one who wants to analyze things. Seeing Donny frustration was the highlight of this issue. Besides Donny being pissed off, this comic introduces new mutants created by Hob. One mutant is definitely a future friend for Mikey because of the chemistry and skateboard. Overall this is a great issue with Donny frustrations at the front story. The ending is going to have turtles fans smiling as two favorite mutants make a return.
