Aniplex of America Announces Release Plans for Fate/stay night [UBW] and DURARARA!! x 2

Aniplex of America Inc. announced today at their industry panel at Anime Expo their plans for their domestic release along with the list of its English cast members of the epic masterpiece Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]. Aniplex of America Inc. has confirmed 

that the first season will be available in both a Limited Edition Blu-ray Box Set and Complete 1st Season DVD Set August 25th.

Pre-orders for both SKUs will be available starting today on the official U.S. 

Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] homepage (www.FateStayNightUSA.com) for North, Central and South America. Both versions of the release will feature the entire first season (episodes #00-#12) uncut with the original Japanese and English audio with English and Spanish subtitles. Bonus contents include the textless opening and ending sequences. In addition to all the features mentioned above, the Limited Edition will also include the Original Soundtrack I, a 24-page deluxe booklet and an exclusive collectible Weis Schwarz PR card while supplies last. The Limited Edition will also include a double-sided wrap for the 

Blu-ray case and a beautiful chipboard box featuring an illustration by the original character designer, 

Takashi Takeuchi. All 13 episodes will be featured across a total of 4 Blu-rays for the best visual 

experience.

Also Aniplex of America Inc. announced today at their industry panel at Anime Expo their plans to release the first arc of DURARARA!!×2, the sequel to the hit anime series DURARARA!!, on Blu-ray and DVD starting this September. Volume 1 is planned to be released on

Since its first season debuted in 2010, the DURARARA!! anime series has taken the fan community by storm. The eccentric characters and innovative storyline unique to this title all return in 

DURARARA!!×2 where the story fast forwards to 6 months following the incidents that occurred at the 

end of the first season. It looked as though the city of Ikebukuro has finally found peace but everyone knew that their ordinary days were about to change.

Responding to the popularity of the DURARARA!! franchise, Aniplex of America Inc. launched the English dubbed episodes of DURARARA!!×2 on the Aniplex Channel, Crunchyroll and Hulu just weeks after the subbed episodes were simulcast. The second season once again boasts an all-star English cast reprising their roles from the first season including Kari Wahlgren (Fate/Zero), Darrel Guilbeau 

(Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, Blue Exorcist), Bryce Papenbrook (Sword Art Online II, Blue Exorcist), 

Michelle Ruff (Sword Art Online II, GURREN LAGANN), Johnny Yong Bosch (Blue Exorcist, Fate/Zero, Expelled from Paradise), Crispin Freeman (Fate/Zero) and Steve Blum (GURREN LAGANN,

Both Blu-ray and DVD of Volume 1 will feature episodes 1-6 in the original Japanese and English audio with English and Spanish subtitles. Bonus contents will include a cast interview video, the textless opening and ending. Also included will be a 16-page deluxe booklet, illustration postcards and double-sided wraps for the cases featuring Takahiro Kishida’s (Character Design) illustration. Volume 2 will feature episodes 7-12 as well as bonus episode 4.5 (OVA) in the original Japanese and 

English audio with English and Spanish subtitles. The bonus content will include the OVA episode 4.5.

This volume will also include a 16-page deluxe booklet, illustration postcards, and double-sided wrap for the clear case with artwork by Takahiro Kishida.
