LEGO: DC Comics Super Heroes - Justice League vs Bizarro League Review
/Batman has joined the newly formed Justice League in order to keep tabs on Superman, a mistrust that is complicated by Superman’s clumsy – but well-meaning – clone, Bizarro. Bizarro’s creation of the Bizarro League has caused confusion amongst the world’s greatest Super Heroes, but an even greater and mysterious threat may force the Justice League and Bizarro League to band together to defeat evil.
One word to describe this movie is hilarious. LEGO's Justice League vs Bizarro League is one fun film for the entire family. The main focus on this film is Superman and his relationship with Bizarro. Bizarro is in Metropolis trying to be like Superman. He sees a group of kids playing on an Octopus swing and mistakes it as a monster. Bizarro pursues to destroy the swing and causes havoc by accident. Superman realizing Bizarro will do harm than good takes him to another planet filled with rocks. He tricks Bizarro to stay and protect this planet of rocks and returns to Metropolis.
In the subplot of the story Batman still doesn't trust Superman. He considers Superman a threat and joins Justice League to stay close to him. Batman is truly the highlight of this film, the way Batman chemistry with the other members of Justice League is hilarious. A more lighthearted Batman is welcome in this universe. He is still dark and mysterious but he has moments that will make you laugh. The way him and Superman play off each other when finding out each other identities was funny. Other Justice League members like Cyborg, The Flash, Hawkman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman get decent screen time and you will connect with them. One thing I did like is that Green Lantern is neither John Stewart or Hal Jordan. Instead we get Guy Gardner as the Green Lantern and he is refreshing to see.
Overall the film is enjoyable for the entire family. The Blu-Ray/DVD also features bloopers, an LEGO Batman: Be Leaguered TV Special and ME AM Bizarro! The League of Opposites. This adds a least 50 mins more of content for your enjoyment.
