Shinra Technologies, Inc., a New York-based cloud gaming platform focused on creating new game experiences powered by their innovative technology today announced the launch of their Prototype Accelerator program. Designed to assist proven development teams in navigating the most challenging obstacle in any game’s developmentthe prototype phaseShinra’s goal is to encourage and stimulate the creation of bold, new video game concepts designed around its advanced ‘super-computing’ cloud technology.

Shinra Technologies Senior Vice President, Jacob Navok, says, “The program is aimed at teams with established track records of quality game production that are interested in doing something ambitious and new, and have been frustrated by their ability to create games based on the limits of current technology.”

The first studio to enter Shinra’s Prototype Accelerator is Seattle-based Camouflaj, an independent development team best known for its award-winning, episodic, stealth-action series, République“Until recently we’ve been focused on squeezing as much out of mobile platforms as possible, and now we’re exploring what's possible at the other end of the spectrum with Shinra’s supercomputer-powered technology,” says Camouflaj founder, Ryan Payton (Halo 4Metal Gear Solid 4). “Shinra’s Prototype Accelerator enables us to embrace the true spirit of prototyping, letting us prove out gameplay concepts that consumer devices simply cannot power.
