Read MoreChris Pine has been rumored to be a part of the upcoming Wonder Woman film for months, and he has now confirmed his involvement in an interview with French entertainment website Premiere. However, he stopped short of saying who he would be playing in the film.
"I do not really know what I'm allowed to tell you. I'm super excited, of course, Gal Gadot is super talented, Patty Jenkins will direct, and we will shoot in traditional film," said the Star Trek star. "What excites me most is to work on a movie with a female superhero; with a woman in the lead role. I am part of a team with this intelligent, beautiful and strong woman to destroy the wicked and save humanity."
Premiere speculates that Pine will play Wonder Woman's longtime partner and love interest Steve Trevor, though this remains unconfirmed.
Wonder Woman is set to hit theaters June 23, 2017.
